The Hunt for Saltmarsh

Our Geocache hunt, began with the Saltmarsh (or Tidal Marsh). We parked  the car and flicked out the trusty Cache finder. Following a grassy path, we found the mangrove boardwalk and proceeded to follow the bleeping GPS device.

As Teamwolfie progressed along the Mangrove walk, we noticed a strawberry fragrance in the air, which offset the stagnant smell of the Marsh. The origin of the strawberry scent elluded us, so we continued on.

A GPS is a must have in the Cache Hunt,  although in this instance we could have almost found it without it. The clues really described the location perfectly. After checking that we were clear of Muggles, Teamwolfie got to work and within moments sniffed out the hidden Cache. If you’re worried about getting muddy boots for this one, theres no need, access to the  Cache is completely mud free.

After pawing through the hidden treasures, we left our customary markings and returned it to its little home. The boardwalk led us to a waterfront platform, where a mummy, a daddy and two baby ducks welcomed us.  It would have been very peaceful here if not for the sound of the passing cars on the busy road close by. All in all, it was a good trip and an easy hunt.
