No 178
Another cache perfect for an early Sunday morning is No 178 (GCNDTK) by Grank. From the logs I had not been looking forward to this – stories of nosey neighbours, barking dogs, and curious muggles. We pass this location in the car quite often – every time we look and wonder to ourselves how we are going to get to this cache.
Being still relatively early on a quiet Sunday morning we decided to pull up in the car and give it a shot. The hint gave us three possible spots. So I stealthily made my way over – no barking dog to be heard, and started checking the three possibilities, and found the cache (of course – after checking the other two places and coming up with nothing).
In the excitement I didn’t notice a muggle walking along the footpath at an alarming rate. There was not enough time to sign it and get it back. Oh what to do! Dropped the cache and walked back to the car to act casually and make chit chat with my teammate. The muggle passed, giving us a sideways glance before continuing his morning power walk.
On the lookout for muggles
Back to the cache – we opened it up, signed the log and got it safe and secure back into it’s hiding spot.
Great to get another of these “difficult” ones out of the way. TFTC.
