GCR4RW – 1 of 3

TeamWolfie had some time to kill down around the Hawkesbury River this afternoon. We enjoyed a great lunch at the Angler’s Rest Hotel, Brooklyn, so what better way to top off a sunny spring afternoon than to do a little caching on the way home.

Our first stop is a cache called simply 1 of 3 - the unusual name being reference to the 3 bridges spanning the Hawkesbury River in this region.

Without wanting to give too much away, we found this micro cache after a brief search.  It was bright and sunny, and the cache was hiding in the shadows. We actually walked past and checked the spot 3 times – which goes to show that stuff in shadows can be deceptive. It’s a beautiful location, and the vehicular traffic and muggle activity on this bridge is much quieter compared to the adjacent freeway bridge.
